Pricing Philosophy

We work hard to keep our prices a little lower than others in the immediate area. Our office calls, medications, and vaccines are typically around 5-15% less than similar practices in the area. Sometimes we're about the same. Sometimes we're a lot less. We really shine when it comes to "big ticket" dentistry and surgery. Our dentistry and surgery prices can be 25 to 50% lower!

A different approach

When you need specialist care, our in-house Internal Medicine specialist, Dr Fabrick, is significantly less expensive than other specialists because we maintain the same general practice pricing rate. And, when you need specialist surgery, you will find our prices hundreds less than others because we don't mark up our surgeon as much as others do - often times for the same surgeon!

We do not offer wellness plans and packages because we don't like the cookie cutter approach. We've seen plenty of these things and they often contain things that your pet may not need while omitting things that it probably does. That just doesn't make sense to us. We want the flexibility to do what we think is best while working within your budget.

Now, how do we maintain our prices? Well, there are a few ways:

We probably make less money, but we’re okay with that.
Our margins are lower, and we don’t mark up our visiting specialists as much as others for the same service by the same people.
We keep our overhead in check. Our building is state of the art – for 1914! It’s a converted house. The waiting room was the living room; the exam rooms were bedrooms; and the pharmacy and office was the kitchen. Anything that didn’t fit upstairs went downstairs. Hey presto! Veterinary Clinic! So, it’s not fancy. It has “character”. The important thing is that we don’t have to pay exorbitant rent for traditional commercial space plus a construction loan to make that empty shell commercial space usable.

Privately owned. Client focused.

In a world of corporate owned practices (many of which don't advertise their corporate ownership), we're still private. We're not under pressure to meet quotas. We don't track our doctor's income generation and pressure them to come up with frivolous ways to squeeze more money out of you. We go about our day doing what needs to be done and practicing good medicine.

We accept all major credit cards. Our credit card processor charges you 3.5% fee. This is allowed under Colorado law. Credit Card fees were killing us. If you want to avoid this fee, just use a Debit Card instead!
We accept Care Credit and Scratch Pay payment plan programs. There is transaction fee for these plans that we pass on to you.
We accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, and virtual cards in those digital wallets from many Buy-Now-Pay-Later companies such as Affirm, Afterpay, Klarna, PayPal, Sezzle, Zilch, Zip, etc. If you have a virtual card in your Apple Pay or Google Pay digital wallet, we should be able to take it.
